Mekhala is a house in a resort on the Huay Yai side that sleeps 10–13 guests. All five bedrooms have one 6-foot bed each, so couples or small families can each take a room. The pool is 9 meters long and 1–1.45 meters deep, and karaoke can be rented if you want to sing.

Five rooms, five big beds, and no one stuck with a small bed

Bedrooms 1 to 5 each have one 6-foot bed. Bedroom 1 has an en-suite bathroom, and the house has 5 bathrooms in total. Trips made up of couples can split rooms easily, with no need to negotiate who gets the better room. One thing to know: the house does not accept pets.

A 9-meter-long pool

The pool is 5.45 meters wide, 9 meters long and 1–1.45 meters deep, good both for sitting in the water chatting and for swimming laps along its length. A grill can be set up by the pool at no extra charge, with a free ice bucket and free Wi-Fi.

Fuel and ice can be ordered from the house: charcoal is 35 baht per bag (or 100 baht for 3 bags), and ice comes in 8-kilogram bags at 50 baht each.

Rental karaoke, and the resort's quiet hours

Singers can rent a karaoke set for 500 baht, but the resort allows outdoor noise only until 22:00, after which there's no noise outside the house, so an early-evening session is the better deal.

The kitchen has a gas stove, an oven and a microwave, plus pots, pans, plates, bowls, spoons, forks, glasses, knives, a cutting board and a mortar, but no seasonings or fresh food. You can stop by the 7-Eleven at PTT Huay Yai, about 764 meters away, or Tesco Lotus Express (Huay Yai), about 913 meters away.

As for cars, there's no parking inside the house grounds. The first 3–4 cars can park in front of the house, and the rest can use the resort's parking lot.
